VARIATIONS ON ASTANGA YOGA
Some teachers feel that it
is important to adhere study to the set sequence of postures that make up the
Primary Series. Others view Astanga yoga as a living tradition that varies in
its detail from one teacher to the next. For example. different Western
teachers who have sequences.
Astanga yoga was found by
some students and teachers to be limited and hard to perfect in its strict
form, and this has led to the creation of classes based on Astanga yoga that
are described as DynamicYoga or Vinyasa Flow Although this can be seen as a corruption
of the form, on the positive side it has introduced thousands of people to yoga
who might otherwise never have come across it.

Taking up yoga can
radically change your outlook the way you feel and the way that you choose to
live your life. Astanga yoga is a particularly intense and disciplined form of
practice and, although you will begin to feel many beneficial changes right
